Title: Remote control of a zone in MC11?
Post by: Bill Kearney on November 07, 2004, 11:35:53 am
Is is possible to control a zone on an MC11 server from a remote machine?  As in, a central MC11 server has several zones.  There are several other PCs in the house.  I realize each PC can act as it's own player or even have it's own zones.  I'd like, however, to have those remote PCs be able to directly control a zone on the central MC11 server.

Is this possible?  Either in MC11 as it stands or via some programming?

The only hiccup is that for now you have to change the active zone to control other zones, but that can be done easily. Also there will be direct control later on, it's part of what will come for versions past 1.0, which is in the final stages right now.
