We're still working on Media Center 11. We appreciate your feedback on it, but MC11 may not work as expected and we can't yet fully support it. When upgrading from MC 10, you will lose your view schemes. Some plugins still do not work.
We recommend that you use MC10 below, but if you want to use MC 11 while we're building it, PRICES are here:

I know that MC does'nt support yet the Hauppauge PVR350-tv card.
However the TV-tuner of MC does work with my PVR350, except that when watching TV the sound is'nt synchronous with the display. I have a SoundBlaster Live sound card. Is there any chance that this will be fixed in the near future?

What happened to the option to expand Media Library at MC11 startup?
Has it gone? It was a very handy feature.
-
I just did a library. import media. when it finished it started downloading album covers.
It also reports external changes to 2 files (is there anyway to see what the 2 files are?)
-
I'm still getting the "Runtime error" I reported in build 108, when clearing Playing Now:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=24223
-
all the new imports are showing (SINGLE ARTIST)

Hi guys - I've noticed for several builds that Tab doesn't switch between panes; is there some other way now or is this a bug? It made navigation with a remote quite useful.

In media center 10,173 I can with browsen in the InterNet my mouse buttons for forwards and back use. Into media center 11 last Build 118 does not go this it passes nothing I notices straight also right-clicks goes not!
-
Audio Analyze does not go, to windows appears however per cent of indication with the files remains with 0%
-
The MP3 encoder now loads fine - but I'm still getting very slow rip/encode and file conversion speeds using the default encoder as opposed to an external LAME one sadly.

I notice that .118 is slower than some previous builds. I can watch individual panes redraw when it has been minimized and I restore it.
And, in all recent builds when I close MC I get 3 "refreshes" of my desktop. The icons and background repaint. Just wondering why?
Whenever I see that I always assume that something crashed or went wrong. In this case that is not true, but it still leaves that impression.
Another thing I am curious about is the cover art in the playlist header. When I select a playlist I see some art. Sometimes it is a cover from one of the selections, sometimes not. When I play the playlist the cover art shown in the header changes 2 or 3 times very quickly. It does not stop with the cover for whatever selection is playing. Just a random cover.
Finally, the sort is not honored when I use playlists. If a list is randomly sorted in a playlist it will be sorted by artist in Now Playing.

Like previous poster, I fin 118 a bit slower than earlier. Why does this build try to get cover art from internet for songs that I have imported gazillion years ago ?

One minor thing, probably nothing: on installation my startup options are to start in 'Start' (if that makes sense). Previously MC started in Media Library. AFAIK my other settings were transferred over correctly.

Importing..
If you just select .ape and .mp3 and import, It will also import the Library files??
There not even on the same drive as the music!!
Also it says downloading cover art???
-
This build seems strange.
Getting cover art after every import, regardless of whether cover art exists or not.
Tree does not automatically expand and collapse as should.
When starting in "Media Library", the tree is collapsed when it should start expanded.
Startup speed seems a bit slower.
and...
This is something im not sure about but its seems to be broken. Whenever I "Customize Display" in the player bar and choose [Total Time] as one of the display scripts, all I get is the song duration. No matter if continuous play is turned on or off. No matter how many files I have, all I get is the current song duration. Maybe my thinking is wrong, but I thought this was meant to show the total playing time of all files in "Playing Now".

We left a scalpel in the patient. It will change back next build.

Does that mean I'm entitled to a malpractice lawsuit?
I'll be more than happy to settle out of court for say.....err......free MC upgrades....FOR LIFE!!

Burning an mp3 disc on a 700mb blank, MC reports that there is too much data for the disc size at anything over 675mb.
Is this correct? I thought that a 700mb disc HELD 700mb :o
-
Im not sure of the exact specifics but there are two things at play here:
1: 700mb is not actually 700mb. This is due to the fact that when they sell you the medium they advertise it at what is a rounded off number. The computer uses the actual byte count which breaks down like this
(anystore) sells 700mb Blank CD = 1000 kilobytes = 1 mb
Computer reads 700mb Blank CD = 1024 kilobytes = 1 mb
This will make more sense when you remember RAM counts. They go like 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024. Most people will call 1024mb of RAM, 1 GB, when in actuality, it is slightly over 1 GB
So your disk is likely not a full 700mb.
2: There is a small amount of space at the end of a disk which is non writeable by some programs unless you tell it to do so. Nero is one of them. They say it is not safe to burn in that region because it can lead to data loss and it can also damage your burner. I dont know of the truth behind that because I've never had a reason to want to burn over that extra little bit of space.
Hope that helps. I may be completely off and it could be something completely different.
