Title: MC10 - Output directory error when attempting CD rip
Post by: Mangy Varmit on November 10, 2004, 12:24:10 pm
I just installed MC10, and attempted to rip my first CD.

I get the following "Information" message:

"The output directory could not be created for one or more files.
Please double-check the output directory in the ripping options."

I have not changed any settings...all output directory settings are the default as installed.

Could it be a song name or file name that is messing this up?

I believe I sortof figured it out.

The Album name had a  ! in it. I took it out and ripped successfully.

It would be nice if the error message included the reason why the output directory couldn't be created.

Can you give me the artist and album name that caused the problem? I can't reproduce it here when I try using an exclamation point (!) in either field.

Thanks!
John T.

The album name (which is the problem, AFAICT):

The Most Relaxing Classical Album in the World...Ever!
