Title: Itunes equalizer column
Post by: park on November 12, 2004, 10:56:21 am
I was just using Itunes (to listen to the radio) and saw its equalizer column. Oooo :o Can we have one?  :)

I know that King Spartas plugin sorta does the same, but it doesnt have enough fields to map all of my genres, and as far as i know it doesnt work with mc11 anyway.

Try going to Player --> Playback Options --> DSP Studio and check out the Equalizer function.  Is this what you mean?

You have to put a check in the box next to Equalizer to turn the "DSP effect" on (by the way).  You might want to check out the Effects section of the DSP studio as well.

There is a button on the main view of MC that provides quick access to this function as well.  It looks a little like the sliders on a Graphic EQ and is next to the "Shuffle" button (to the right of the "play position bar" that you can slide to FF/RW).

This is where you can configure all manner of digital audio effects including upmixing stereo signals to 5.1, crossfade, and a wealth of other options.

In iTunes you can select an equalization preset for each track. The information is stored in the iTunes library tags. It would be nice to have that column (=library field) in MC too.

Usually I prefer straight playback, but some recordings need equalization. That library field would select it automatically.

Yea, I would love this too -- equalization presets that could be assigned per track/album/genre.

The ability to save the equalizer settings in the libaray  would also be cool.
Having to manually back up the registry file is a pain.
