Vastly improved database engine capable of handling 100,000's of files and large amounts of metadata (lyrics, bios, etc.)
Is there a kind soul out there who can give me the lowdown on what this new feature of v11 is all about?
I make heavy use of tags at the artist-level on individual files. AFAIK, if I were to populate a bio tag for an artist, then that same info would be duplicated in every file by that artist (under v10). Is there some relational-ness to v11? Are there any feature difference in how v11 handles attributes? Or is this purely a matter of efficiency of storage?
TIA,
Stuart

Thanks, Matt. Funny (pathetic?) thing is that I actual read and replied in that thread and then promptly forgot everything!

Curious whether the new database which will allow updates from multiple clients ??
Not heard anything on this as yet.

Not via the library server or media server.
You can do it via network file sharing by pointing both machines to the same library database files.
You need to be careful that MC is only run on one machine at a time or you risk corruption of the files.
