i am using the latest versions of media jukebox and real one player (downloaded last night). when trying to play or reencode .ra files, media jukebox tells me that it cant detect what version or real player im using.
-
Don't use RealOne.....jettison RealOne then use RealPlayer (v8 was latest before RealOne came into being). JRiver has RealPlayer available here somewhere.....Do a forum search for it.

Better yet, stop using ra format entirely.

This thread tells the story and provides a link to RealPlayer.

Winamp with the Tara plug-in converts real to wave.

thanks Jim H.
i now have the latest version of media jukebox and real player 8 installed. i can play .ra files but when i try to convert types the conveter shows unsupported file type.
as for winamp...i hate to invest in another media program when i have already payed for media jukebox. i have been using media juke box for years, and happy with it.

The free Winamp (http://classic.winamp.com) with the free Tara plug-in (http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/detail.jhtml?componentId=22143) converts real to wave. You can run multiple files in batch.
There is also a rumor that dBpoweramp will do the trick.
MJ is the best media solution, but getting rid of that real stuff takes some effort.
