Title: Radio Free Virgin
Post by: jmccorison on November 23, 2004, 05:01:45 pm
Ok, I'm new. But I've searched the archive and find no hits on this.

Is Radio Free Virgin dead? All their stations in the Media listing are just dead air. There website wants me to use their own player instead of MC. So what's the scoop?

Is this new? Or so old that it's no longer in the search history. Of course, if it's that old... Why the heck is MC still showing it in the list of Web Media??

Or maybe I'm just brain dead and couldn't format a search which answered this.

Thanks for any info on this.

Try this:

http://www.virginradio.co.uk/thestation/listen/streams.html (http://www.virginradio.co.uk/thestation/listen/streams.html)

Thanks for the pointer. Of course this is a paultry three radio stations, compared to 42 different feeds (not counting the different speeds) that JRiver lists when you search for available sites. I'm just wondering how the list of available feeds is maintained. Clearly, based upon the number of dead air feeds that are still listed, the answer is that it is not maintained. Bummer!  :-\

Radio Free Virgin and Virgin Radio aren't the same company.  I don't know what's happened to RFV, but nothing seems to be working there!

I think Virgin has renamed their site: www.virgindigital.com (http://www.virgindigital.com)  -   60+ stations...

(I just got spammed by them)
