Title: Schedule library update?
Post by: scrybe on November 24, 2004, 03:46:02 pm
I am downloading avi and mp3's daily and would like to have them imported without having to go through file -> Library -> import media. Of course being able to watch a directory and automagicly import would be the best but I will settle for being able to schedule a nightly import to catch all the stuff that downloaded that day.

Anyone have a command/script/magic powder that can help?

Thanks KingSparta. I'm trying to remember if I ever hung out on your BBS, I do remember hanging out at AMOCAT.

Well I'm back here again... I want to watch too many directories it seems. Any way the search/import can be made recursive? If I knew how to externally trigger a library import I would write a WMI script to watch the tree I'm interested in but I have note found any command line tools for that sort of thing yet.

EDIT:
Never mind. I just found http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/DevZone/MJAutomation.html
