Title: No sound, always buffering

Hi,

I have upgraded Media Center 10 to the latest version 10.0.173 from 10.0.XXX (a few month old).  
I'm a registered user.

The installation process ran ok.
Now with the new version, I'm not able to hear any sound.  The progress bar showing the current playing time doesn't move.    The buffering message appears for ever.

I have tried to change under "Options | Playback" the output options from "Wave Out" to "Direct sound" with no success.

 :(

Any workaround?
Please help.

I would like to mention that I'm not using DSP nor any plugins.

Try playing a few different file types to see if that makes a difference.

Can other sound programs still output sound to your soundcard?  Updating the soundcard driver might help if it's a driver level problem.

Luckily I have hibernated my computer and started again, and now it works!
