Title: Media Center Encountered Error
Post by: lavatch on November 26, 2004, 12:28:36 pm
i just installed MC on my second computer (pc2)... i have the mediaserver turned on and sharing on my PC1.. i am receiving an intermittent problem when attempting to play my images on PC1.. i have "search for media servers" turned on.

the following is the message received when attempting to play images:
"Media center encountered error while trying to play the last several files. Error: Unkown Error, Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location"

thanks..

it's mc 10... i think i figured out why it worked with some and not others.. i noticed that the files that i can't open have a comma in the file name and that the files that do open do not have the comma...   here you go.. mistery solved.. i have to remove all the commas from the 6000 file image library of mine.!!.. hehe..

thanks so much for your quick response..

If that's the case, then you may want to try V11, I think Matt did a work around... I Think??

Make sure the names also do not have any other illeagal characters,

ie,

. period
, comma
" quotes
