Title: MC 11 Document support: How and why?
Post by: Tanguero on December 13, 2004, 06:21:11 pm
"Document support with full text searching / indexing" is presented as an improvment in MC11.  Sounds nice, but what kind of document can I view, and how do I get them visible in MC?

It's still rough, but you can do most types: doc, txt, pdf, outlook, and more.  It's easy to try.  Just set the file types in MC and import (advanced).

A search here might uncover more details.

Thank you Jim, that did it. I was there (in the import / advanced window) before, but managed to miss the relevant tickbox; it is always easier when you know you are looking in the right place.

I like the function even though I would like to be able to open the document by klicking  the Word icon (or similar) and not only on the title. Small fixes to deal with it when things get less intense than I guess they are now.
