Hello,
I downloaded the latest version of MC 11 and noticed the following bugs.
- The server starts up just fine, but the minute my tivo tries to access it, it core dumps and blows up on my face.
- The installer said that MC 11 coresides with MC 10, but once I install MC 11, and I try to bring up MC 10 it prompts me for a MC 11 license.
I haven't purchased MC 11 yet, and I will probably do so, but this issue needs to be addressed.
Cheers,
G

This has started happing to me post version 149.

Hi Y'all,
Not sure what's going on here. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to this until Monday, but I'll fix it then.

Thanks. Have a great New Year!

I can't reproduce this. Are both of y'all trying to run MC10 and MC11 side by side?
What options are you using for the TIVo Server?
Is it crashing while browsing the tree, or only when trying to play?

I do have both versions of the software running concurrently. The server crashes as soon as my tivo tries to access my PC. It doesn't get any where.
-
Can you post your system info please?

Same here, running both side-by-side, like I said no problem with 149, anything higher is a problem. Here is my current info (currently have 149 installed).

Did you try the latest version (173 or 174)?
j

I'll do that right now... Ok, so it doesn't exactly crash, but I still have a problem. Actually it just worked. The first time the Tivo gave me a "Error #3-5-6" error. Weird, second time it worked fine. I'll keep you posted.
-
Ok. It gives me the error every few selections on the TiVo
Here is a log of the activity that leads to the error:

On the Tivo interface I have:
"An unexpected error occured while accessing the server.
(Error#3-5-6)
Press SELECT to continue"
This also resulted in a complete crash of MC11 174.

There's a known issue - if you try to send non mp3 files to the TiVo, it'll cause problems on the TiVo side. Make sure you have the convert to mp3 option set.

Thought I did. But, in case it matters, I didn't even navigate to a place where there are files before it crashed. I was just clickin on the Playlist folder for example. Never even tried to play a file.
-
Are you clicking fast? I haven't seen any crashing behavior here, but when I get a chance I'll stress test it.
The new version (just out last night) probably won't help, but it's possible. I made a lot of internal changes that could fix the cause of the crash.

I'll try the latest, but no I wasn't clicking fast. I just tried leaving at least two seconds between clicks.... I will try the new version and see what happens.
