Hi can anyone help.......
I am trying to install Media Jukebox 7 on a computer with no internet connection. I registered some time ago on another computer and got a REG file which I loaded and it has worked for a year happily.
However I now want to add an MP3 encoder and I have downloaded the enc-mp3.zip file and have unzipped it into the plugins directory as suggested in other threads. However the plugin manager still insists that it is not there and tries to access the download page, but the DLL is there........ How can I 'register' this plugin with the programme? Can anyone offer any further help?
Thanks in anticipation.

Use IE. Right click on the web page link for the plug-in. Then save the file (it has a .mjp extension) on your PC.
Edit the mjp file with notepad to correct the location of the zip file.
Then execute the file.
Unzipping the file isn't enough. The mjp file also updates your registry.

I might be dense here but I don't understand the edit part. I nnzip the file, ok then io have a folder namewhatever that might or might not have an mj[p file in it. which file do I edit and ehat do i change it to. somew of these zip files only have an ocx file and dll files in them. which do I change?
Sorry for all the questions but I've had this problem from time to time and the answer has eluded me.

Edit the location of the zip file (if you have it on your machine).

Since your version Of MJ7 is not supported By J River since it is an Old Version.
JimH is trying to tell you how to work around the download and install of the encoder.
what would be better is if you just upgraded to MJ9 since many enhancements have been done to the program.
