Hi All,
MJ is locking up on my laptop after it has been playing continuously for about an hour. At the lock-up point it says in the play control window that it is buffering. This started to occur for at least the last 3-4 updates, as this did not happen early on in the 8.0 build process. Any ideas?
My computer details are as follows:
Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.388
Install Path: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\
CPU: Intel Unknown 82 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 523 MB, Free - 324 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Workstation 5.1 (Build 2600)
Internet Explorer: 6.0.2600.0000
ComCtl32.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
Shell32.dll: 6.00.2600.0000
wnaspi32.dll: Internal ASPI Layer

No idea. Are the files you're playing local or on a network PC?

Yes, all files are local on the laptop. It works fine for a while, but after extended continuous playing, it locks. I just duplicated it by playing MJ overnight. When I awoke, it was locked.

Two ideas:
1) update your sound card driver
2) switch from WaveOut to DirectX in MJ -> Options -> Playback

I got it to freeze-up once again. I find it interesting that it did so while playing song 101 (I was not around the computer to hear if song 100 malfunctioned, as well). I am considering that when the active-playing song in the playlist got over #100, problems occur.
Any thoughts?
