Title: Rio Karma has 20GB!!!

Hi

    I recently bought a Rio Karma portable HD player and started to learn how to sync files, and noticed a slight trouble MC 11 detect Rio Karma (that's good I did not installed any software from Rio CD) but the status bar tells "2.1GB of free space" and as far as I know I bought it for its 20GB.

   Later I installed the software for the Karma (Rio Music Manager, drivers, etc.) but MC 11 still says that my Karma has 2.1 GB.  I sync some music (9GB from PC to device using Rio Music Manager) and because of some reason MC 11 says that I've used 0.3GB of my Karma.

Does anyone have this troubles?

I do not want to use Rio Music Manager to sync music I'd rather MC, but this bugs don't let me do this

Does Rio Music Manager report the correct size? Does your Karma appear in Windows Explorer? If so, does it report the correct size there?

Does Karma appear in Windows Explorer?

If you run WIndows Media Player, is the space reported correctly?

I have downloaded MC (11.0.189) which contains a fix for the free space displayed for portable devices, but still have the same problem, my Karma has a total space of 2.1GB and a free space of 1.3GB.

Do not know if WMP shows the right hard disk info of Karma, and not, Karma does not appear in Windows Explorer (I do not think it should appear there because its features does not include act as a Hard Drive for the OS).

If you can, it is important to run the WMP test. The underlying WMDM interface for WMP is what MC uses to access the Karma. I have seen devices that report incorrect space in WMP which indicates that the driver is not written correctly for WMDM devices and in those cases, MC will have the same limitation which is a limitation of the device manufacturer, not MC.

I run the WMP test, and it finds Karma as a 18.55 GB player with a free space of 9.51 GB which is the correct information.

Do I have to set any special option in MC to achive the right info of my Karma player?

Are you running WMP 10 or 9?

Please retest with 11.0.196. I think this should now be fixed.

now it displays the correct information... I do not know if there is a wish list for features for portable players.

I wish the bi directional sync feature to download the files of my Karma to the hard disc of my PC
