Title: Media Center 10 + Netremote PPC problem
Post by: yap on January 25, 2005, 12:32:02 pm
Hello

I am trying to control MC10 on XP with Netremote (PPC) via mediabridge server that comes with the Netremote Music.

I have been testing this setup for the past two days and keep getting following error messages in the Media Server (MC10) upon Netremote connection.

01/24/05 21:52:56 - sharer starting
01/24/05 21:52:56 - Initializing server.
01/24/05 21:52:56 - Server initialized
01/24/05 21:52:56 - sharer ready to accept connections
01/24/05 21:52:56 - Started auto response thread on port 5556.
01/24/05 21:54:06 - received a connection
01/24/05 21:54:06 - Current Connections: 1
01/24/05 21:54:06 - ready for another connection
01/24/05 21:54:06 - sharing thread started
01/24/05 21:54:28 - connection closed with data
01/24/05 21:54:28 - read_http_request failed
01/24/05 21:54:29 - received a connection
01/24/05 21:54:29 - Current Connections: 1
01/24/05 21:54:29 - ready for another connection
01/24/05 21:54:29 - sharing thread started

these messages repeat every time I connect Netremote to the MC10 Server.

Does anyone use such a setup?? Has anyone experienced similar problems and manage to sort it out??? Please help...!!!

have more questions about controlling MC10 with PPC but I will ask later, once I get this sorted out...help...!!!

Thanks

Which port have you set in Netremote and MC10.

Running the same config here with no problems.

You're trying to connect to MCs media server here. That's for sharing libraries, not remote control. In NetRemote go to Mediabridge, click the current instance and set it to uset port 20002 instead, the standard port for NR.
