Title: install on another computer
Post by: goose on January 28, 2005, 07:55:25 pm
I have set up another computer in another room in my home (not networked and not internet connected). Can I use my registered copy of MC10 on that computer also without buying another licence? If so, can someone tell me how to install it? I don't have a disc...my original install was via download.
Thanks...RW

Put The Install Program On A CD Or Flash Drive, And Then Take It To Computer #2

On Computer #1 Go To The Restore Page, And Saved The License To A Floppy Or CD, Then Take It To Computer #2

After MC Is Installed On Computer #2

Dbl Click On The License File It Will Register.

www.mediajukebox.com/license has more about saving the Install Key to a disk.

Thanks Jim and Sparta....I think I've muddled through saving the license restore file ok. Now for the next step. How can I recover all my view schemes, program preferences, configurations etc. from computer 1 and install them on computer 2? I assume there is a folder I can move. Then, after that, I will move my music files to computer 2. Last, I will restore my library from computer 1 to computer 2, correct? Can you tell me how to accomplish all this?
Many thanks!
