Title: Sorting "the", "a"

Media Center sorts band names (and I assume everything else) without stripping out "the" or "a" from the band. So for example:

A Perfect Circle
The Chemical Brothers
The Offspring

should really be sorted as:

Chemical Brothers, The
Perfect Circle, A
Offspring, The

This makes much more sense.

So how do you do it? :)

MC will sort those correctly, but it won't change the display.

You have to go into Tools\Options\Tree & View\Sorting.  Enable the "Ignore articles" checkbox.  I believe it only works on A, An, The.  For others like Los, Las, El, etc. you are out of luck as it's currently not customizable, though I agree it should be.

It will still show it as "The Chemical Brothers", but it will be in the right place.

Along the same lines, is there any way to sort by artists last name?
