Every time I use the Skin manager to download skins, the download ends with the same error message:
"Invalid package file. Can't continue"
followed by the local path and name of the skin file. I'm aksing for skins that match my versions of Windows XP and Ver.10 of Media Center.
What gives?
thanks

Are you using IE?

I'm using Internet Explorer with the Maxthron interface on top of it.
Is my browser involved in downloading a plug-in, even if I do it from within Media Center?
My problem also happens with plug-ins other than skins.
Has no one else reported this as a problem?

Can you give a specific example of something that doesn't work?
-
Sure...
The problem happens if I go to Skin Manager and click "Download More Skins."
I set the OS to Windows XP and the Media Center version to 10.0.
Then no matter which skin I choose (I've tried with a dozen or so) I get the same message:
" Invalid package file. Cannot continue.
" File: C:\Documents and Settings\Ron\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\LZZR5X46\lowerright[1].mjp"
That message just now came from trying to download the skin Lower Right.
The the same thing happened this morning when I tried to download "Shorten Plugin"
I've been able to download plug-ins and skins int he past. But I did a reinstall last week to fix a different problem I was having, and downloading hasn't been the same since..

Can someone else with MC10 confirm or deny this problem?
Ron,
Try this. IE/Tools/Internet Options/Temporary Internet Files/Delete Files.

Cleaning out the cache did the trick. Thanks, Jim.
