? Help...
After going to the plug-in manager and starting the Library Server, I then go to Tools/Library Tools which is greyed out. If I go to Advanced/Media Server, I get the error message that PATH/MediaServer.exe is not found. I looked through the files installed and have found two dlls: RemoteServer.DLL under the MediaCenter 11 Folder, and under the plugins folder, server_library.dll.
I have no clue here. I did completely (foolish me) uninstall Version 10... And would like to avoid reinsstalling it.
What are the basic steps that I clearly am missing to get the server running?
All I want to do is serve across a simply peer network in my house....
Thanks so much in advance,
And, I'm sorry if this is a really basic, overly repeated question.

Your server is already configured.
Go to the client (which MUST be a different machine) and click on File/Libraries and then Library Manager.
Add a library with the correct IP address and port.
Go to tools/library tools and choose what conversion you wish (this is on the client, and is not
neccesary).

Thanks for the quick reply.
Okay, I went to File/Library, Library Manager and add the library by it's IP--leaving the port off, and using "default" as the name of the library. When I then try to load it I get:
Failed to install package
More Info: Failed to unzip file 'C:\Documents and Settings\David A. Harvey\Local Settings\Temp tmp637.tmp'
URL: http://192.168.0.3:80/GetLibrary.
Also on the client, when I go to Tools/Library Tools the option is grayed out.
When I check the taskman, btw, I do not see any server process--I'm assuming that this is related to the new method of file service in 11.
Any help again woudl be very much appreciated.

Ah ha!
After some tweaking around, I'm able to direct my browser to the server's IP address:8123 and I get a web page back, so I'm with you that the server is definitely working and the ports are free.
Back on the client I still get the Failed to install package message--as I mentioned in my previous message:
Failed to install package
More Info: Failed to unzip file 'C:\Documents and Settings\David A. Harvey\Local Settings\Temp tmp637.tmp'
URL: http://192.168.0.3:80/GetLibrary.
Also if I scan for media servers, I get nothing.
I'm hoping I'm close as I am desparate to be able to listen to my tunes on my client.
Thanks,
Harvid

Check your disk space.
Are you using a firewall?
It looks like something may be interfering with the download of the library...

Make sure you have the same version of MC on both sides.
