I recently had a hd crash and was able to "recover" most of the files which were on the drive. This drive had a lot of mp3 files on it and the majority of them seem to be intact, but there are several which are crapping out.
Does anyone know of a utility (or perhaps a way within MC10) that can attempt a play (preview i suppose) of each file and log if the play was successful or not? I could then refer to the text file to determine which files need to be re-ripped.

Well, I'll thank meself, mateys. FYI:
Using MC10, I added the folder in question to the library and the corrupt files showed up w/o tags (all my stuff was previously tagged). So created and exported a playlist of the tagless (corrupt) files, then did some quick spreadsheet work to condense the tracks it into a list of albums.
BTW, i _did_ try to repair these files to no avail.
