Hiya!
Anyone know what's the best tool for converting m4a's to mp3's??
-
I like this: dBpowerAMP Music Converter (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/).
Actually, it is a bit coincidence that you happen to ask this now. Just a few days ago I got a demo from my Australian friend who has a home studio. It was encoded in m4a format. (Just don't tell me that you got the files from Finland...)
I wanted to include the demo in my MC library and found that the format was not working very well with MC. I converted the files with dBpowerAMP. I chose APE format because I didn't want to transcode to another lossy format.

And if dbPowerAmp doesn't work for you, I've had success using FooBar 2000 (although there was a bit a learning curve).
Best,
brad

Yeah, that I meant by "coincidence".
Cheers from Finland.
