Title: G-Force Cover Art Problem
Post by: Jaguu on February 25, 2005, 04:15:13 pm
BUG:

Please, reload the cover art image at every visualisation change (track info,  2D & 3D visualization). Whenever you move out of the G-Force viz. the current cover art gets lost and is not displayed any longer. We get the default MC icon instead. Obviously G-Force cannot do anything to keep the current cover art in memory.

Jaguu,

Does this only apply to files with internal cover-art or all files?

Thanks,
-Matt

OK Matt, I think I found out. It seems to depend on the file type:

wma and mp3 with cover art inside switch visualizations correctly
ape with cover art outside the audio file is also OK

The problem is only with ape files with cover art inside. As about 95% of my audio files are ape with cover art inside file, it happens with me almost all the time.

Did not check any other file type as I don't have them.

Also, once Playing Now loses the cover art, you have to restart MC11 to get it back in Playing Now.
And, if you start Playing Now with G-Force selected, you will never see the cover art, if you switch to another visualisation. (Again: only with ape files and cover art inside file)

I'm posting here since I found this by searching around.

I just bought G-Force today, and I cannot get album art displayed on any of my ape files which have the image inside the file. I posted a question on this at soundspectrum as well, but maybe this is a MediaCenter problem? For the record MP3 files with the image file inside displays the album art correctly (running 11.0.225).
