I began on the MC 11 today, and am very pleased.
However, when attempting to download and install new skins, both from threads in this forum, and from the actual skin-page, I always get a errorprompt saying "invalid package file, cannot continue download"
What can I do to make this happen? - or is this likely to go away as MC11 closes in on the final version?
Jesper.

I am running build 11.0.205 on a xp pro system and all the skins work fine.
Invalid package file means you are not getting the whole file, try redownloading it into another directory on your computer and/or check your internet connection.

Try visiting the plug-ins page, using IE as your browser.

Have tried using IE as the browser, but the procedure has the same result everytime - I get the invalid package file error.
When I instead just rightclick on the download icon next to the desired skin, and choose save the destination, and I choose another directory, it only downloads 123 byte pr. skin, so something is wrong. I just cant figure out what exactly...?

Can you give a URL for one that won't work?
When you right click, you're getting just the mjp file. Open it with notepad to edit the locations.
Did you try re-installing MC?
Other possibilities.
Temp file space is full. Try IE/Tools/Internet Options/Delete temporary files.

thanks alot Jim.
After deleting the temp internet files, everything is fine :)
