Help! I have been ripping for a week or so ? and really enjoying Media Center.
Last night while ripping a cd, I decided to check out the other graphical interface.(theatre mode I think its called) Suddenly the computer locks up and nothing happens for several minutes. I kept hearing the drive run, so I figured the rip was still going on. Sure enough the regular screen comes back up and the rip completed. Now for the problem: I start up Media Center and it just sits there. The opening screen from the internet eventually loads (3-4 mins) and then no functionality at all.
I love this program. I want to use it, but am totally at a loss here. If I reload the program, will I lose all my file associations and the hours of work I have in this thing? Can anyone make a suggestion.

Provide your systems specs thru media center, help, system info and paste it in the forum here.
there has been others that have reported this, all have been on dated computers.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am not at that computer right now. It is almost new. Pentium 2.8, two large hard drives, asus mother board, 1gig ram. I don't think it would be because the machine is old.
Thanks for any help and advice

now am totally confused. Rebooted several times, opened and closed the program several times and suddenly it is working perfectly again! I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, but sure do wonder what happened.
