Title: Windows Media Player uPnP client & MC11
Post by: rpalmer68 on March 09, 2005, 07:05:40 am
Hi Everybody,

I've just downloaded the latest version of On2Share uPnP for Windows Media Player (V1.3.0) and with MC11 running on my server I can browse my MC11 playlists and play my MP3 and WMA files from my wireless laptop just running Windows Media Player.

Isn't perfect with what gets displayed and what sometimes won't expand, not sure if this is MC or On2Share issue, but a good way of seeing what the MC11 uPnP server can do!

On2Share is downloadable from http://www.on2share.com/

Just install it and then enable it under Tools plugins (In WMP), and go to playlists to see the uPnP Server.

Regards
Richard

This is interesting. A few weeks ago I searched for software clients. I didn't find any. I am not going to buy UPnP devices any time soon since I already have PCs connected to audio & video equipment all-around my home, but I am curious to see how the MC's UPnP server works.
