From version .213 i got this problem, I can't rip and I can't play audio CD. MC says it can't read the information on the CD.
I went back to .196

I'm getting the same problem with 213.
Insert CD, MC11.0.213 says
"Media Centre has detected a new CD in Drive G: but can't get teh correct volume information. Please try ejecting and reinserting the CD"
Tried both drives, same error.

I found this from benrad in another thread

It's not a "solution" but perhaps the guys at JR notice it and find a fix :P

A Box Please Wait
Action: Accessing Disk YADB Information
Status: Connecting...
The First time it just failed (it gave me no option to enter data for the CD, maybe a bug here)
the second time (manual yadb lookup) it failed but brought up a window to enter the data.
I tried another CD It Played And Got The Info Correctly
If i Eject the CD with it playing a box comes up in a never ending loop
The Track named 'In Between Dances' cannot be played because the volume labeled 'Greatest Hits" was not found.
would you like for me to try again?
when i press [No] the box goes away for a split second and then askes me the same question ("NO" seems a bit pointless). on ly when i press cancel will the box go away. (seems to be another bug.)
i did not seem to have the problems you stated.
