We just bought media jukebox and everything seemed to be going okay until we tried to run the program and we got a message stating that our database was newer than the program. My husband is disabled and his only pass time is his music so he's really upset that this isn't working (especially since he had to fight me in ordering Media Jukebox)

It appears that you instaled at some point MediaCenter9, the best way to do this is:
1-unnistall MediaJukebox
2-Delete Mediajukebox folder from hard drive ( C:\Program Files\J River )
3-Install MediaJukebox
4-Import media ( in menu - Tools, Import Media )
-
Or..
Go to Menu - File > Library > Clear library, and then make a new import media

Or..
Go to Menu - File > Library > Clear library, and then make a new import media

Did that solve your problem? Let us know if you need more help OK? :)
Take care,

I am having the exact same problem;"a message stating that our database is newer than the program."
My question is, if I follow your instructions, would it not delete all the subfolders as well? And from where would I import the media.
How do I go back to Media Jukebox v8.0.399.
Also I have tried it with the method describe in FAQ
www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/buy_faq_switching.html
and those don't work either.
I've been trying to resolve it since july 04,2003 and have used up about 3 keys on restoring and restoring and restoring and it still doesn't run. help!!!

When you install 8.0.399, it should ask if you want to use a backup of your old 8.0 data.
There is more info on switching versions here:
