Apologies in advance for the newbie-style question - if there's a document I can read that has the answers in, just point me to it.
Scenario:
* HDD-based audio library, currently comprising 600 CDs and a few movies but expected to rise to 15000 CDs and lots of movies
* Audio in WMA Lossless format for CD rips, and a few in MP3 format for downloads
* Using MC10 build 173
Requirement:
* Automatically synchronise the library to an MP3 player (in this case a Creative Zen Touch)
* Possibly do a a selective synchronisation based on rated content, ie only favourite tracks
* Convert WMA Lossless tracks to WMA Standard, but leave already-compressed tracks (eg MP3) as-is
Problem:
* I can specify a target format for the MP3 player, but all content seems to be translated, ie I can't say "don't do MP3s"
* WMA Lossless to WMA translation seems to lose the tag information
Any advice gratefully received.
