Whenever I import into MC and view the new files in "Recently Imported" the track order seems to be "random", I see no pattern at all.
It does not follow the sort order I've set for MC and that all other views follow.
Is there someother way to set the "recently imported" sort order that I missed?

The order it lists them in is the order in which the files were actually imported into the MC database. I've never been able to exactly determine how MC decides what order to import files, so I can't tell you why it imports some before others (though I imagine there is some rational logic it uses).
If you view the Date Imported column for that list however, you will see that it lists the files in increasing order of date imported (because it imports files pretty quickly, you'll have to import a whole bunch of files at once or they'll all show up as 0:07 ago).
The Recently Imported playlist is a special case playlist that always sorts based on the Date Imported time.

That is strange...
However is USED to honor the global sort order setting for all views and still should.
I've mentioned this "bug" before, I hope it gets fixed soon. I really looks goofy being sorted so "randomly" (appears random" when importing multiple albums.
