Title: Media Server
Post by: TURBO on October 18, 2002, 08:39:47 pm
Probably this topic is a beaten horse.   ? I can connect and see the server library but when I hit play, nothing happens. This is the first time that I use it. Does someone have a clue what's going on?. Thanks in advance.

Hi TURBO,

Glad you fixed it, would you post more details on what firewall problems you found to help the next person with this problem?

Thanks,

I have a little home network (even the cat is wired!), and one of the segments was with all ports closed and filtered. Basically, it was a router config problem with this specific segment. Oh and the router rules too. Since every router have different configuration approach, is inappropriate to ping point the solution. Media server works beautifully. Keep the good work guys. 8)
