Title: Artist & Album list blank?
Post by: risingdamp on March 22, 2005, 11:11:51 am
I just synched my iPOD which should have resulted in 2 tracks being removed and an album added.  I ejected the iPOD and waited for the main menu to appear but now I have nothing listed (except the ALL option) under Artist & Album.  I've reconnected the iPOD and browsed it via my computer and the files are definately still on there.  So what did MC do to the iPOD database and why?

I just tried the 'Rebuild database from iPOD' option but it hung MC after a few seconds and had to be killed via task manager.  I'm now going to try initialising and resynching my iPOD but I would really like to what what caused this to happen.

I initialised it and transferred just 1 album to it but that album does not show up in artist or album list.  Next stop is to use iPOD updater to restore the darn thing to factory settings.

Could this be because the files I deleted were on the iPOD in 'Now playing' at the time?

What version of MC do you have?

How did you transfer the album? Drag and Drop? Sync?

Please try getting 221, then do 'Check for Updates' and try again.

Thanks,
