Title: Comparison page
Post by: Tab on March 23, 2005, 07:49:01 pm
Hi

I've been trying to find the MJ/MC comparison page to link to it... oddly I cant find it, keep getting 404s. Is it still up?

If you decide to go with Media Center rather than Media Jukebox (which I would strongly recommend since MJ isn't being developed anymore and MC is much better IMHO), I would look at version 11 rather than version 10.  Version 11 is still in Alpha/Beta, and it isn't perfect, but it is definately stable enough for everyday use and contains a lot of new features over version 10.

Plus, if you are going to pay for it, why not get the newest version!

Because it is far away from being stable!

The newer builds of MC 11 have been pretty good (the latest - 11.0.221) seems fine and nice and fast to me. Since I changed over to 11 from 10 some 3 months back, I have never thought of going back to 10. If a dodgy build comes out, I may revert to the previous stable 11 until another build comes out.

It's a shitload more stable than plenty of other software I've used...

My 2c worth...

Thank you - thats what I was looking for! I guess you'll add MC 11 to that as well some time, with its more capabilities.
