I saw a somewhat strange behavior when using mjextman commands through girder. A smartlist that was supposed to be random, was perfectly random when executed through the MC11 interface. However, when I used the mjextman command, it was much less random, i.e. showing three time the same thing.
Have there been any changes around mjextman in MC11?

Is no one using this command anymore? Am I an extinct species? Like dinosaurs? ;)
-
That sounds like a coincidence. The extension manager is just a stub that calls the same functions inside of Media Center.

I've noticed similar behavior. I have a Smartlist that chooses random songs for 30 minutes of play. When I double-click the smartlist in MC it works fine every time but when I play it via mjextman with the /PlayReplace switch it only seems to work if PlayingNow is filled with something else. That is, it will replace PlayingNow the first time the command is run if I have a different Playlist but all subsequent attempts just start playing the current songs in PlayingNow without replacing them.

That's exactly what is happening here as well. It didn't with V10.

Let's go back to this one again because it is at the center of my audio jukebox. For whatever reason "random" with mjextman is no longer random but ALWAYS "the same".
As cnbc said a mjextman command like this doesn't produce random anymore: /PlayReplace treepath="Playlists\Random Album Play\Modern". It used to work fine with MC10.
Matt, this is really critical for everyone calling MC through girder. Thanks for having a closer look. ::)

I tried adding a /Clear command and a pause before the /PlayReplace but still have the same results. I would also request that this gets fixed because it is important to my setup. Thanks.

sapnho,
Perhaps we didn't ask nicely enough or are invisible but this was brought up by someone else and fixed in build 236. It seems to work as expected now.
-
That's what counts!

cncb, I think it's because of sapnho's ugly avatar. What? Is that your real face? Sorry, man... ;D
And if it helps, I've had that one a few times myself. And I agree. As long as the stuff gets fixed I'm a happy man.

Oh, and I thought yours was your dog... ;) ;) ;)

Well, I have no avatar so as not to offend anyone but this didn't work either. I agree - in the end I am just happy that it is fixed but I just had to cry about it first ;D.
