Title: MC11 Performance Question

Hi, In the Tag Editor I have noticed a severe performance drag when I enter the Artist name form.  I usually go into the song name form and type the name (which works fine), and then tab into the artist name form, and as I am typing, the characters do not display until seconds after I have typed them.  This appears to be perhaps b/c that form caches all the artist names it knows about and can do an auto-fill.  However, I seem to have a large database which possibly causes a real lag in performance.  Is there some way around this?

1. make your database smaller
2. buy a faster computer
3. reduce or eliminate other programs running
4. increase memory
5. don't do that

The computer has two 1.13 GHz PIII CPUs with 2GB of RAM and 10K RPM UltraWide SCSI harddisks in RAID5 array.

There's really nothing else running on the computer -- but I can assure you that this is not the problem.

As far as making the database smaller -- that seems like not such a good solution.

I'm not sure the best way to measure this, but raw statistics on the filesystem show it is about ~7 MB.  Here is the dir listing:

I can't get WMA streamed radio stations to work through my Philips SL400i.  It keeps saying the file format is unsupported.  It plays ok on my PC but not through the SL400i.  My settings are as follows:

Convert Audio Content: Ticked
Encoder:  Have tried MP3 Encoder & Windows Media
Specify IP Address: Unticked
Warn on unrecognised NOTIFY: Ticked
Receiver: Philips Streamium

Can anyone help or advise what I'm doing wrong ?
