Title: MC11 225 hangs when I select my handheld

Previously using build 195, all was OK except that files transferred to my muvo were incorrectly going to the root dir instead of Artist/Album as I'd selected. But with 225 MC hangs indefinitely when I click on the handheld in the tree. What could be the problem?

Dunno what the problem is, but I have the same one. I had run into it in a couple of previous versions, also. Unfortunately, we're not getting any answers over in the Portables folder. I'm hoping they're just working too hard to fix stuff that they can't respond to messages.

In the end I just opened Windows Explorer and drag & dropped files over to my MuVo.

Thanks for replying - I'm glad I'm at least not the only one. I installed 225 because reading the improvements list I thought I could expect many of the portable-related bugs to be fixed, but instead MC isn't even usable with my muvo anymore.

I would really appreciate a note from J River to at least acknowledge this problem and promise a fix by the time MC11 comes out of beta.

Please?  :'(

Sigh. OK. Took ages to download 225 yesterday on my dial-up connection, then almost as long to install it what with the additional downloading it did during install. And then I find 226 is out. Ho hum.

JimH - can you at least confirm it's a known problem and on a to-do list please?

We don't confirm bugs.  We just fix what's reported that we can duplicate.

A lot has changed recently in the handheld sub-system, so stay tuned.  This should be completed shortly.
