Title: MC 11: Adding Files and Updating Library

Whenever I go to add files to my mp3 collection with MC 11 the first thing that happens is that media center "Gathers Information about my files". The problem here is that I have 32,795 mp3's! So when I get a new album, I have to wait around 10 minutes for MC11 to scan my current collection before I can add to this? Is there a way to stop this? Is this necessary?

I have also noticed that if you have get cover art checked MC does not tell you what it is doing, and for me it seemed like it locked up for about 8 hours without being responcive.

this may only be a problem with rather large libraries

On the import dialog, click on "advanced" and untick the update options, such as "Fix or remove broken links" and "Update library for external changes". Use those two options only when necessary and there you go.
