Title: Can I use my MJ7 license w/media center 9??

Is it possible to use my mj7 license w/media cntr 9 ( if yes, how do I convert). If not, is there a discount to upgrade??---Thanx

You can't use MJ7 license with MC9 but you can use with MJ8,  there is no upgrade option, you have to buy a license for MC9

Well true if bought before something like Dec 3rd 2002, if MJ8 was bought after that there is an upgrade fee.

And it is true there is no upgrade fee from MJ7 to MJ9 thats 2 versions back from the current version and if there was an option to upgrade from MJ7 to MC9 it would cost about $15-$19 from Per version and would be about the same price as you would be paying for MC9

I think the best thing to do is always try to stay current on the versions if that option is aval

If you choose to stay with MJ 7 let me know if you can find any MP3 encoders.  I had to format and lost all my plugins.  Why don't I upgrade you may ask?  Because I feel that they sould atl east maintain an FTP sight where you can download plugins for pervios vesions.
