2. Fixed: Some portable options selected in Tools->Options->Handheld were not being saved properly per device.
OK, I thought it would fix the problem I had but it didn't. Here's the issue: I have two iPods, a 40gb photo and a mini, and they are both detected as "iPod". Thus I can't save different options for the two players. I'd like to synchronize different playlists with the two players but it doesn't seem possible right now. Is there any plan to make this possible?

You should be able to customise the name of each iPOD. I think you can do this in iTunes or you may be able to simply right click the drive in explorer and change the volume name there. Each time you restore the iPOD it will default back to the name 'iPOD'.

I've tried both ways of differentiating them. Regardless, MC still recognizes both of them as IPOD.
I think this point needs to be clarified: MC doesn't allow to set up options for different devices but for different types of devices. Unfortunately.

Did you try to re-detect the devices after the name change?
-
MC doesn't work with multiple iPods yet, according to SteveG. I've been struggling with this for a quite a while.

yes, I tried that. It's always detected as IPOD.

The individual settings for devices do not cover the case of two iPods at this time. You can set different selections per device, but not the same device. I can add this at some point.
Ben,
But for this issue, one should be able to connect to iPods at the same time. IOth, can you verify?

Correct. This is what you get:

The first device connected is labeled IPOD and the second one IPOD followed by the next available drive letter. I can browse and synchronize the two devices fine while both are connected (using 11.0.232 here)

Thank you. I will address the indvidualization of the sync options for the two in the future.

Can't wait :)
Once you've implement this and full iPod photo support, I can't see any reason for anyone to ever go back to iTunes ;D
