Out of the blue, when I insert a new music cd, media center goes to internet and gets info. Problem is it says name is O Bernard for every track. I have rebooted, started and stopped MC several times. Tried the update numerous times. Still no change. All the other information is correct, its just the title that won't update.
Anyone have any suggestions? Help!!

right click on the cd, and try, update from database (i think it is) this will get the info from YADB again and not the local INI file on your hard drive.
or you can type in the info, and submit it to YADB

I've done that. It does no good. Just keeps saying O Bernard.
I have ripped a couple of discs and manually typed in the names. Worked fine, but soon as I put in a new disc, right click the update, its back to the old O Bernard. I have tried a dozen or so discs.

It's our problem. Please wait a little.

Cool, Thanks

Should be fixed now. Please post here IMMEDIATELY if it returns...

working again. Thanks for the prompt responses. Will let you know if it quits working correctly.

Who is Bernard anyway?? :D
It seems that Google can find anything.
This web shop has an audio sample of the track:

Track # 7

Make sure you don't have any firewall software running (such as ZoneAlarm). I found that in order to communicate with YADB I have to quit ZA (there's probably a more elegant way by opening a port or something).
Cheers!
I had the same problem yesterday, typed in the correct track names and clicked "Submit to YADB"
Unfortunately I get a message that they were 'not submitted due to file or server error' . . . .
tried again today, same results.

Or make sure the rules allow MC to access YADB.

Once again Google can help. Try this search:
"Kerio 2.15"
IMHO it's a more elegant way - small, fast, smart and fully configurable firewall software. It can control access rights individually for each program (protocol, local & remote ports, remote addresses). It's a rather old freeware version, but better than many current programs.

I'm reasonably certain ZA can be tweaked pretty specifically on an app-by-app basis (other than just allowing/not allowing access). I just don't know what specific port(s) need to be opened for MC to access YADB, so being lazy I just unload ZA, do what I need to do, then reload it.
ZA has always worked well for me (although it does way more than I need it to do) but I may go searching for a more streamlined alternative (I get a huge boost in my "speakeasy" (wdc.speakeasy.net) broadband test score when ZA isn't loaded.)

If the moment comes when you don't feel too lazy just make the search. I'm too lazy to write about those ZA vs Kerio vs whatever FW things once again. Besides, this is already far off-topic.

Hi Y'all,
I think I've banished Bernard for good. If he re-appears, let me know...
