Title: Audio Analyze
Post by: enormix on April 14, 2005, 01:05:29 pm
 ?
Is the audio analyzed data imbedded in the file and does it carry over to hand hedld devices like the iPOD?

Can you undo audio analyze? I've experience a significant increase in volume and bass on my iPOD after my files were analyzed by MC.

Help!!!

Not sure about the first question, but I think you can just set the Replay Gain to 0 to effectively undo audio analysis.  At least, it might take care of the Volume and Bass problem.

If you right click on iPod and go to 'Set upload volume adjutment' and deselect 'Apply replay gain' then no volume adjustment from MC should be applied to the files on iPod. This will change in the not too distant future.

Steve,

What if I analyzed in MC but performed the sync in iTunes?
Does the replay gain carry over to iTUNES?

I want to clarify the information in my last post. If you do not want replay gain applied, you will need to delete and retransfer the files from iPod if you previously transferred them with 'Apply replay gain' selected.
