Hi Guys at J River,
bytestar and myself are taking another go at the German language file. There are still sections in MC11 that are almost completely hardcoded, ie its impossible to replace english language strings (words) with translated words.
The Theaterview Section is one such example.
Any chance of going through there and variabilizing (?) the coding so that strings can be replaced.? it strats with Front menu, where there is just no way to replace "Images" with "Bilder" just as one example
Cheers ;D

Matt said some time ago that to make MC11 localized (=translatable into any language), they would need to do some internal reworking that they might not be able to finish in MC11. So you may need some patience.
I did the initial translation, later on taken over by bytestar and mentioned at that time all the open issues. There are some tricky issues like the handling of internal name and display names for fields.

It will be great when such things are finally put into for example their own plain text files etc. This would make it easy for users - and J river as well - to develop international language versions, and will open up the field with skins too, for various types that are not yet possible. It also will allow users to have whatever fun they want changing things.
Mirc is a good example of this approach, and it makes it easy for users to customise it any which way they can think of.
Maybe this will get on the list for MC12, who knows. Seems there is no end to the things that can be done!

Still, the latest language file in German is quite advanced and you'll find your way even though some sections are still "hard coded".
Happy to mail to you if you let me know your e-mail
