Title: Playing WMA files downloaded from MSN with DRM
Post by: mjcumming on April 19, 2005, 03:27:32 pm
Hi All,

Just wondering if there is a way to have MC playback WMP files that have been bought from MSN. Wallmart etc.

My wife bought a portable player and now wants to get music this way... :(

They should play in MC.  MC11 has newer support for WM DRM.

Did you try it?

Under "Video Playback Options" you may need to select "Use Windows Media Center Engine for video playback when possible". I know I had to do this a few builds back to get DRM files to play.

Ok, bought my first song online.... works.

MSN seems to have the most liberal scheme, allowing 5 playback pcs..

Don't go to Walmart.  It will only playback on that PC.

Great work Jim.
