Salut Zev,
with the help of google here's what I found on lossless wma:
extracted from Microsoft website :
"Lossless Audio Compression
WMA 9 Lossless, a new mathematically lossless audio codec, delivers the ultimate audiophile performance. Capable of losslessly compressing CD audio into one-half to one-third its original size, the listener will enjoy exactly the original sound quality, bit-for-bit. It?s the ultimate "archival" codec for your music library!"

IMHO,it will not get APE's encoding speed, plus we've got the APE guru. ;)
à la prochaine,

You are not in Toulouse?
Was just a question .Nothing to do with APE.
For a start look like you cannot or there is not software who can convert it to another format.
I was thinking: if fast and convertable and smaller than APE,you eat the s..t once ripping 200-300 cds to it,even more if you have room.
And after you rip it to MP3 -MPC or ORG/
But i would never ever dream about using it as an archive format...

No, Toulouse will be next week (3 days)
For now I'm here listening to some music, browsing the interact and feelin fine with the help
of my friend Jack (Daniels).

Well the problem is Microsoft Has a Captured Audience
Is MJ Distributed With Windows? Microsoft will try to cram it down your throat. And MJ does not have the distro or the captured Audience.
