Title: new Aruba skin : Standard, Gold, Blue or ?

- Gold and blue skins aren't complete, options and other things are not modified yet

Gold and blue are both better than the standard. I don't like the black action window.

The blue looks best, the black action windows is ugly

For me, the standard skin is the best, but I don't like those rating stars, they too small and ugly.

Good work!

I agree with some other poster about the ratings, it would be better with stars like MC's thundersomething skin and they would benefit if you contrasted them more...gold on gold doesn't show them that clear.

I like the standard except that some white text on light colored buttons can't be read.

overall my desktop is blue, and i currently use the Opus MC Blue mega me and Blade mini me skins. I would use this skin in blue, but neither of the other schemes works with my setup. The gold is nice in its own right, just not for me, and I agree with other posters regarding the standard. cheers!

When we added the Aruba skin, we said that it wasn't complete.  There were some known issues with readability.  Here's what may be the final version.

Install Skin (http://accessories.musicex.com/mediacenter/mc_data/skins/aruba.mjp)


The link above will install the new skin.  If you want to save the original one, just rename this directory first:
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\MegaSkins\Aruba

The updated skin is a big improvement over the original - my sole complaint is that the highlight color (for the selected line, etc.) is a bit loud.

update is better, but the play, stop, previous, next button are pretty ugly.

I like the new buttons. they have a sweet old-skool look to them.

For some reasonj I keep thinking old Marantz equipment when I use this skin.
Not a bad thing, just what it brings to mind.

Just like GHammer a goldish finish make me think of these good old amps...

I like this new version Jim... but I still think that :

- something different for list headers and scroll bars would be better. (black is still too... hard to the eye IMO). Something like the Action Window Title background would fit perfectly !

- Vertical splitter should have a subttle shadow (like in gold and blue skins suggestions)

My opinion is that it is a cool skin but it can be better with some minor modifications. By the way, the new Action Window is .. well... really cool ;)
