Title: Producing / editing Language files
Post by: Tab on May 03, 2005, 10:43:00 am
Hi

Is there any software used to produce the translation files, or is it just a case of editing it all by hand?

If the latter, is it a familiar file type? Its not .txt. Or
any particular text editor recmomended? None of mine will work with it.

Thanks, Tab

Copy the language.txt from

C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\Data\Default Resources

to

C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\Data\Custom Resources

and edit it with notepad or similar.

You could edit it in its original location, but it would be written over when you install again.

thanks, that helps.

The first prob though is that of notepad, winpad, roughdraft, 602 suite and wordpad, none are able to edit it. Maybe I'll wait till I get a new puter with 2k before getting into skins. I know its designed for foreign languages, but its begging to be used in skins.

Aha.... I'll try a DOS editor.
