Hi there. Can't seem to install 11(0260). Got the same runtime error as others have mentioned previously. "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: c:\Temp\RarSFX2\InstallWizard.exe This applicain has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I'm running a Intel p3 on a sony vaio with windows ME and no service pack.
Thanks for any help!

You can use WinRAR (rarlabs.com) to manually extract the files. Then run InstallWizard.exe.
If you can figure out the cause of this, please let us know. (we've never been able to reproduce it)
Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. Are there any solutions that don't tack $29 onto the cost?

Before clicking "OK" on the crash, copy the files in your Temp\RarSFX directory to a new directory. Then try to manually run the installer.
Otherwise, there's a demo of WinRAR.
Sorry we don't have a better answer -- we're still looking for the cause.
Thanks.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Either way, I'm pleased and impressed with the quick response.

Neither solution worked. I'm getting the same response, but much faster.

Well, please let me know if you figure anything out for this one. I'm anxious to try the new features in 11.
Thanks.

Please try build 261.
Thanks William.

That worked. Thanks for the great customer service.
Apparently I screwed something up though. I deleted 10, but did not delete the database. Now though, when I try to restore the library, all of the restore versions have considerably fewer entrys than my previous library. Do I have to reaquire all of my files? I guess that means all play information and settings are lost as well. Shit.

Dear William Siegel - just out of curiosity, how did you solve this problem?
Cause, as far as I can see, you are/have not been the only one. I encountered
the same problem and someone else as well.
thank you
