Title: MC 11 Split Views

Using split views with 2 views and using MC startup mode to playing now opens the upper playing now without a display, and if using 3 views the 2 upper views are without display.

This is by design.  The display can not be in two places at once.

This is were an earlier request comes in:
setting defaults for each view in options dialog or start with settings of the last session.

For example:
I would like MC to start in 2 views: upper (view 1) = playing now and second view = library browser.

I have seen this request many times and I know it is working now as designed, but still I think it is something that you would expect to be in MC11 when it is released.  ;)

no if you clicked on the area that does not have a display and then clicked on playing now in the tree the display will appear on it

I agree, split views is a great thing but dont seem very usable how it is now :(

Much agreement with previous replies.  Split views has great potential, but currently is a mishmash.  If there were a default or "home" view of  "playing now" upper and "media library" lower, WITH the ability to drag and drop search results, then you would really have something. 

Currently search results don't seem dragable into the playing now window, which would seem to be the whole point of split views.
