Title: MC11 and DRM
Post by: dcwebman on May 12, 2005, 12:33:18 pm
I just purchased some files from MSN Music and was pleased to find they play perfectly in 264. I was hoping to convert them to MP3's like all my other files but got a failed to convert message. Is this expected or a bug? I couldn't really find anything from a search in the forum.

DRM protected files can not be converted.  This is a stipulation of the Microsoft licensing agreement.

Depending on the files' rights, you may be able to burn them to an audio CD.

Action Window > File Properties > File Type Info will report the DRM properties.
