Maybe I'm just too old to learn new things, but Split Views are confusing the heck outta me. Is there any way to lock a particular window,? Say I had a 2-view. I would want to lock the lower view to "Playing Now", and use it as a bin that I would drag and drop other files into from my upper window, which would always have focus and obey the selections from the tree, even if the lower view were highlighted.
Currently, if you have 2 views and conduct a search through the search bar, it searches in both windows and displays the search result in both windows, thereby switching from playing now. Who searches their Playing Now?
Is there any way to lock a view or otherwise create a default view of two different windows?

I do vote for that request too.

I vote that he's too old too.... (I've never found split views useful for the way I use MC).

This has been asked for more than once. No news about it.

We're not making any changes at this time. We're concentrating on bugs in order to release MC11.

JimH--
Sorry, I didn't mean to start a minor brushfire. I thought maybe I was missing something (at my age). You guys have a GREAT program here, and a feature set that's beyond state of the art. As I learn it, I never know if it's just me, so I ask a lot of questions.

Didn't you have a plugin that could attach a custom EQ setting to each music file? What became of that?

Thanks, jgreen. We're in complete heads-down, get-it-out-the-door mode. We'll be back to features in the near future.
